Angel is a Southern California native who relocated to Kansas a little over three years ago. She attended Azusa Pacific University where she fell in love with the humanities and studied theology. Her love of theology continued to grow, and she attended Fuller Theological Seminary where she earned two master’s degrees in 2022. It was during her time there that she felt called to ministry. Angel’s favorite things include trying new restaurants, exploring cities, swimming, and all things Disney. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Trevor, they have two sweet and sassy girls, Riley and Zoey, who are bursting with personality.

Faith Fields

Design & Communication Coordinator

Faith is in her first year here at Village Church. She is a graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange University where she played collegiate soccer and also on their newspaper staff. She received her degree in PR Communications in 2021. With her remaining year of eligibility for soccer she went to play for Fresno Pacific University in California and started her Masters in Strategic and Organizational Leadership. She returned back home to Kansas City during the summer of 2022 and is still missing the California weather. In Faith’s free time she enjoys reading, trips to the lake, and getting outdoors with her dogs.

Kevin Dolan

Youth Band Director

Kevin, the “young old man” of the department, has been leading the Youth Band at Village for over a decade. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Guitar Performance. If that isn’t enough to enhance his street cred, Kevin is also a children’s musician, known world ’round as Dino O’Dell, with performances scheduled regularly in the KC area and beyond. Kevin’s creativity and background in teaching are an invaluable asset to the youth department. Kevin is also an avid soccer fan, is an amazing father and husband, and can regale you with tales of “the old days” of the ’70’s. It was a crazy time, man.

Dr. Josh Maize

Youth Choir Director

Josh is beginning his second year as associate director of music at Village Church. Before coming to Village, he served as director of music at First Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas. He attended the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC and KU and has performed a lot around the area and abroad. Fun fact: Josh was a Vocal/Choral Intern at Village in 2010 so he's heard (and even sung with) Village Voices prior to directing the choir! Josh can't wait to explore new music and ministry with the Village Voices Youth Choir.

Kennedy Krumm

Head Intern

Kennedy got involved in the youth program at Village when she was a 7th grader. She was a youth intern in 2021, and after graduating with a degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona in May 2022, she is back with the youth department as a yearlong intern. Kennedy thinks one of the most special things about Village is the annual spring break service trip to the Dominican Republic. Kennedy’s top 5 favorite things include spending time with her family, traveling, knitting/crocheting, audiobooks, and Mr. Tayto.
